Burkina Faso has one of the poorest populations in the world, of which a majority depends directly on small-scale agroforestry production. With projections showing an increasingly dry and warm climate, Burkina Faso is facing daunting challenges in terms of natural resource governance and sustainable livelihoods. Based on short presentations of current multi-disciplinary research in Burkina Faso, this seminar aims to stimulate a discussion of how these challenges can be approached.

The seminar is co-organised by Focali (Forest, Climate and Livelihood research network), School of Global Studies at University of Gothenburg and Centre for Environment and Sustainability GMV.

Register for the seminar and lunch by sending an e-mail to the Focali project coordinator maria.olund@gu.se
