Ida Hellmark the economics alumni of the year!

Ida Hellmark, environmental economist, former project coordinator for Focali and alumni from the School of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, has been awarded the “young economics alumni award 2012”.

The jury's motivation: "With her skills as an environmental economist and a lot of energy Ida has created new structures, new knowledge and great social impact on issues related to sustainable development. Through her work at the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, she has a key role in the development of initiatives for a more sustainable future for us all, but foremost for effective climate actions in poor countries. Despite the work with the big questions Ida has not forgotten School of Economics and law and she is an excellent ambassador with a great passion to support other alumni." 

 

Focali is very happy for Ida Hellmarks award and for the important work she has done for Focali and the role she has at Norad (Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation) today.
