The Swedish Research Council has set up a Committee for Development Research.
The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) has set up a Committee for Development Research. The committee will work out strategies and develop processes for the evaluation of scientific quality in this field. Another task is to make sure that development research is integrated in the activities of the Council.
Kerstin Sahlin, the main secretary of the Humanities and Social Sciences at Research Council, will be in charge of the scientific aspects of the committee.
- It is so incredibly important research it is all about. We want to help make it even more meaningful, useful and prominent, she says.
