If you want to engage more with Focali as a member, partner or friend, welcome to fill in this form and we will get back to you based on your interests.
Beyond the “supply chain” framing: Cattle ranching as a vanishing mediator of deforestation and dispossession in the Brazilian and Colombian Amazon
New open access article published in World Development: “Beyond the “supply chain” framing: Cattle ranching as a vanishing mediator of deforestation and dispossession in the Brazilian and Colombian Amazon” written by Focali members Mairon G. Bastos Lima and Jesica López.
The two co-authors first met via the Focali research network where they discussed their different research findings as comparing drivers of deforestation in the Brazilian and Colombian Amazon. The continued exchange between the two Focali members, from SEI and Lund University respectively, led to new collaborations as the co-authoring of this article comparing the role of cattle ranching in Amazon deforestation and dispossession in the two countries.
